All scholars at the Urban Assembly Academy of History and Citizenship for Young Men will be expected to meet or exceed New York State Standards and be prepared for the five mandated New York State Regents Examinations in English Language arts, science, mathematics, global studies, and US history.   Our course offerings include interdisciplinary project-based learning that derives from the curriculum and prepares scholars for the development of portfolios. Portfolios consist of assignments and major pieces of work from each class, as established by the teachers.  Included in our portfolio presentations are reflections of academic and extracurricular experiences that help our boys acknowledge their scholastic and personal development into college bound young men. Our scholars are celebrated and rewarded for their demonstration in an authentic rite of passage ceremony.
